ExcelleNcy…
April 29, 2008“Am I capable of writing?” a high school student asked her teacher, returning all her rejected articles. The teacher, whose general features are horrifyingly annoying, replied, “Of course you are! Everyone who can minimize the complexity of imagination into a more specific idea and convert it to written words are capable of writing.”
Then, why would the teacher reject her works?
“Indeed,” she retorted, “you are capable of writing, but you did not qualify for Excellency.”
So, the girl walked away with her arms filled with a pile of unworthy articles, which none has even able to grab a place in the list of appreciation. She kept her articles in her closet rather than cursing it and throwing it away.
The girl continued to wonder. She pursued what she heartily desires: writing. After 50 years she was declared as a National Artist, honored, respected and admired by the people. She reminisced about high school. How her teacher insulted her by condemning all her articles and qualifying them as worthless. Then…she passed away, escaping the realm of oblivion and being immortalized in history by her literary Excellency.
Now, isn’t that simple enough?

?
A person’s writing from the younger years cannot quantify his/her true skill.
A person learns as he/she grows.
This character basically never gave up on the dream of becoming writer.
Peace.
